Introduction

CHARTERING TERMS & CONDITIONS

All our boats are rented in accordance with the provisions of the General Port Code Regulation No. 38 (Government Gazette B’ 2390/2019).

  1. In order to handle any of our boats a speedboat driver’s license that is recognized from the Greek authorities is required, if you don’t have one the vessel can only be chartered with a Skipper.
  2. The number of Passengers is not to exceed the one stated in each vessel’s official documents.
  3. The boats operator is not allowed to handle the boat under the influence of drugs or alcohol above the legal margins. I case this is overseen, the captain will have to accept the penalties as defined by the Port Police and the General Port Regulations. The operator has to be physically able to perform all the safety, mooring, navigation and docking procedures of the boat, and is obliged to demonstrate as such before the charter begins. We have the right to refuse chartering our boats without a Skipper in case we see any safety issue.
  4. The operator of the boat agrees to not allow any other passenger navigate the boat. They have to comply with the general navigational rules. In case of an accident the operator will bear all responsibility and will be held accountable to the authorities.
  5. All Passengers are responsible for their own safety on board and should avoid any behavior that endangers them or others.
  6. Before each chartering period begins, we do a demonstration of the boat to the clients, explaining all the operational and safety features, which have to be followed.
  7. Before each chartering period the customer must state to us, the general area that they intend to visit. The costumer agrees to visit the suggested spots and the maximum distance of the vessel must not exceed the 2 Nautical Miles from the coast.
  8. All our boats are equipped with the appropriate life-saving and emergency equipment:
    • personal life jackets
    • circular lifebuoy
    • floating device
    • fire extinguisher
    • first aid kit, etc.
  1. All our boats are equipped with GPS Plotters, which will be holding information of the route the boat went through, the customer is not to erase any of this data.
  2. All the boats are not allowed to be moored on beaches with their hulls or engine touching the bottom. In case this is overseen by the customer, they will be charged for the damages caused by such choice, and for the days the vessel will need to be immobilized for the repairs to take place.
  3. All the boats are not allowed to be moored in waters shallower than 2m and with a distance from shore smaller than 3 meters, for safety reasons.
  4. The boats are to be returned within the arranged time; any extra time will be charged extra, at the rate of 100 €/hour.
  5. Underage passengers are to be supervised by adults throughout the charter period and are not allowed at any time to handle the boats.
  6. For bareboat charters (without a Skipper) a security deposit is required as a guarantee, the amount will be returned when the boats are returned to the pick-up point, to the exact same state they returned.
    Security deposit for Hendricks and Oasis is 1000€.
    Security deposit for Maverick is 2000€.

Note: This deposit is not needed for local charters around Hydra island and for charters that are less than 2 days.

  1. The boats will be showcased to the customer before the charter period begins, by signing this document the customer agrees that the boat is at the stated condition and is to be returned at the exact same one.
  2. For charters with a Skipper Paragraphs 7,10,12,14 are not valid.
  3. For charters with a Skipper, the customers must comply with the Skippers directions.
  4. Prices for the RIB Charters with or without skipper do not include fuel costs. All our boats are equipped with fuel management systems, which are set to zero when the customer enters the vessel. The amount of fuel consumed when the vessel returns at the pick-up point is to be paid in cash, based on local prices at the time.
  1. RESERVATION TERMS & CONDITIONS
  1. For online bookings through our website as well as in person bookings, a deposit of 30% will need to be paid, in order for it to be confirmed.
  2. In case the reserved boat becomes unavailable for any reason, our company is obligated to replace it with a similar or better one at no extra charge. If we are unable to replace it, we shall offer an alternative date, if the date does not suit the customer, we shall return the full amount paid for the booking.
  3. In order for the booking to be completed the full amount must be paid at least 15 days before the agreed rental period.
  4. The chartering period will begin once the customer has paid the full amount for the service along with the security deposit, as stated in paragraph 1, 12.
  1. CANCELLATION TERMS & CONDITIONS
  1. For cancellations made due to weather’s bad conditions there will be provided a new alternative day for booking or a total refund if there the alternative dates are not suitable.
  2. For cancellations made (30) days or more before the booking date you get full refund.
  3. For cancellations made 15-29 days before the booking a cancelation fee of 50% of the deposit will be charged.
  4. For cancellations made 0-14 days before your booked cruise you get no refund.
  1. INSURANCE & LIABILITY
  1. All our boats are insured against third parties, hull & engine damage, property and environmental pollution.
  2. Seaduction bears no responsibility for the loss or damage of personal belongings of any of the passengers onboard.
  3. The client is obligated to deliver the boat to the receiving state, any damage caused to the boat by misuse or negligence and any equipment goes missing, shall be borne entirely by the client.
  4. In case the above (3) happens, the charterer is obligated to compensate the same daily amount their chartering agreement states, for each day the vessel will need to be immobilized in order to repair the damages.
